Balotelli announces next football venture with Baller League UK | OneFootball

Mario Balotelli has announced his next football venture, participating in the Baller League tournament in the UK.

“Baller League wanted the best ballers. That’s why always me,” wrote Super Mario on his Instagram account.

“I’m locked in. Come and see the madness.”

This is an indoor six-a-side competition that originated in Germany with support from Lukas Podolski and ex-Roma defender Mats Hummels.

The United Kingdom version launched in 2025 and Balotelli announced he will be part of the Legends vs. Creators Final Four at the O2 in London on June 12.

Micah Richards and YouTuber KSI are also involved in the tournament.

The former Italy international had tried to revitalise his career joining Genoa as a free agent on October 28, 2024, but made just six Serie A appearances for a total of 56 minutes on the pitch.

His only contribution to the Genoa cause was receiving two yellow cards.

It was a short-term contract and it remains to be seen if and when he’ll continue his professional football career beyond June 30.

Balo will celebrate his 35th birthday in August.
