Ousmane Dembélé
Ousmane Dembélé was recently asked about the 2025 Ballon d'Or. The PSG forward sees himself as one of the frontrunners.
In less than a month, the name of the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner will be revealed. Among the top contenders to succeed Rodri are Achraf Hakimi and, of course, Ousmane Dembélé. The Frenchman is a strong candidate for the prestigious individual award, boasting 33 goals and 15 assists in 49 appearances, as well as five trophies this season—including the Champions League title.
Speaking on the ForForTwo podcast, Dembélé opened up about the significance of the award and his status as a favorite. "Before the Champions League final, people were shouting at me, 'Ousmane, Ballon d'Or!' But to be honest, we were all focused on the team, especially on the final itself (…) For an individual trophy, there's nothing better for a footballer. It's the Holy Grail of football. When you look at all the legends who have won it, it's something truly special. After a season like this—four titles, goals, assists—it's only natural to be considered one of the favorites for this prize," he said.
