Ellery Balcombe has been recalled from his loan spell at Scottish Premiership side St Mirren.

The Brentford goalkeeper initially joined the Buddies on a season-long loan deal in May but has now returned to west London.

Balcombe marked his debut for the Scottish side with a clean sheet in a goalless draw away at Valur in the UEFA Conference League in July.

He made three further appearances in European competition, as St Mirren were beaten across two legs by Norwegian side Brann in third round qualifying.

The 25-year-old established himself as No.1 north of the border and featured in 21 Scottish Premiership games - most recently in a 2-0 loss at Kilmarnock last Thursday - as well as once in the Scottish League Cup.

Prior to joining St Mirren, Balcombe had previously spent time on loan at Boreham Wood, Doncaster, Burton, Bromley, Crawley and Bristol Rovers.

He has been at Brentford since the age of eight and made his first-team debut against Newport County last season, saving two spot-kicks during a penalty shootout victory in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
