Bakambu and Betis reach an agreement
Cédric Bakambu, the 34-year-old Congolese striker, could leave Real Betis before the close of the summer transfer window.
The Andalusian club and the Congolese forward have come to an understanding to find a solution, aiming to free up space to sign a new striker. Despite receiving offers this summer, no transfer has been finalized yet. After the failed PAOK deal, Bakambu met with Betis management and accepted the situation with professionalism. He will take an active role in seeking a new club to continue his career.
The player is still under contract until June 30, 2026. Last season, he netted 10 goals and provided 4 assists in 42 appearances, totaling 1,855 minutes on the pitch. Betis hopes to secure a lucrative transfer for their striker.
