Aston Villa entertained Manchester United at Villa Park earlier today as they focused on securing a victory at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the seventh minute via Leon Bailey’s impressive finish. Lucas Digne doubled Aston Villa’s advantage just four minutes with a world-class freekick. However, Man United responded in the dying embers of the first half when Jacob Ramsey scored an unfortunate own goal. The West Midlands club went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.

Jacob Ramsey made up for his own goal by scoring with an excellent finish in the 49th minute. Erik ten Hag’s side failed to come up with a response as the contest finished 3-1 in favour of the Villans.
