There was news on two youngsters at the start of training this week, while Rode continues his rehab on the pitch and Dina Ebimbe avoided injury on Friday.

With four matchdays left of the season, the Eagles are five points clear of seventh place – and have almost everyone on board ahead of Saturday’s assignment at FC Bayern Munich.

When Dino Toppmöller and his coaching staff cycled towards the training pitches with the players after the video analysis at the ProfiCamp, only Sebastian Rode and Ignacio Ferri Julià were missing besides Sasa Kalajdzic and Mehdi Loune, who are both out with cruciate ligament injuries. The Eintracht captain continued his rehab on the pitch in bright sunshine, while the Spanish youngster worked individually.

Jean-Mattéo Bahoya, who missed the game against Augsburg with a knock sustained on his full debut at Stuttgart 10 days ago, was back with the group. His French compatriot Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe, who had his thigh bandaged and cooled after coming off on Friday evening, also reported for duty.

The Eagles have one session each day before they head to Munich on Friday afternoon for the clash with Bayern at the Allianz Arena at 15:30 CEST on Saturday.
