Christoph Freund and Stephan Reiter answered questions as part of a club talk event this week. Manuel Buckel hosted the evening as the pair talked in detail about the most significant topics at our club. We have summarised the most important views for you:

Stephan Reiter on new developments at FC Red Bull Salzburg:

We have done a lot for our online presence. We have new camera positions at the Red Bull Arena, are developing a new website behind the scenes and we will add capacity to the media stand. The pitch is being completely replaced and, in perhaps our biggest project, we are building a new VIP Lounge.

Christoph Freund on the transfer window:

A few players have massively developed and are ready to take the next step in their careers. When it comes to transfers in and out, we will act fast, as we don't have much time. There is the European Championship ahead, and then the qualifying matches for Europe already in August. We will try to ensure that we have our squad complete by the time pre-season training starts.

Stephan Reiter on the new 2021/22 season tickets:

We promised our season ticket holders years ago that their loyalty to us pays, and we will keep fulfilling this promise. That means that we can give our loyal season-ticket holders a lot of benefits. All without risk too - as you only have to pay for matches you are allowed to attend.

Stephan Reiter on the possibility of playing the last match of the season in front of fans:

We had a very constructive meeting with the Austrian Bundesliga on Monday. Every club declared they are prepared to welcome spectators back, even if it is just for the last match of the season. The details aren't clear yet as there hasn't been legislation yet. We will do everything we can to establish a good concept for it.

Christoph Freund on the atmosphere in the team:

The team's emotions are really good at the moment. That is important, especially in regard to the key match against WAC this week and the cup final against LASK. You can feel the excitement in training. Everyone knows just how much is at stake.

Christoph Freund on rumours concerning Jesse Marsch:

We have needed to talk about the topic quite a bit over the past weeks and months. Jesse is a fantastic guy, who is really popular with the fans and media. He is successful too. In all honesty I prefer to have a coach who is coveted than having to talk about failure.
