Manchester City have announced that Aymeric Laporte has signed a new long-term deal with the club.
The 24-year-old joined from Athletic for €63m last January, and has already established himself as a crucial first-team player under Pep Guardiola.
“I could not be happier to commit my long-term future to Manchester City,” Laporte told the club’s official website.
“Since the day I arrived here, I have been made to feel welcome by Pep and all the players.
“This Club offers me everything I need to improve my game. I’ve already made great strides and I want to continue getting better and better.”
His new deal, which also includes a wage rise, now keeps him at the club until 2025.
