The latest social media activity on the part of Spain star Aymeric Laporte has piqued widespread attentions in the early hours of Wednesday.

As much comes after the former Manchester City man took to his official ‘X’ account, to aim something of a dig at Brazil and Real Madrid attacker Vinícius Jr.

Laporte and Vinícius squared off on the pitch last night, in the high-profile international friendly showdown between Spain and Brazil.

And, en route to a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Santiago Bernabéu, the pair were at the heart of a heated exchange.

Unhappy with the behaviour of his opponent, Vinícius approached Laporte from behind, to direct a shove into his back.

The Al Nassr man then responded with a push of his own, amid scenes hardly in line with the supposed ‘friendly’ status of the matchup.

Evidently not satisfied with his retaliation on the pitch, though, Laporte, as alluded to above, has since followed up with a further jibe, on this occasion through social media.

Reposting footage of the exchange in question on X, the Spaniard attached a caption of ‘Quizá quería bailar?’, translating as ‘Maybe I wanted to dance?’

This comes with the original video having been captioned with ‘I just want to play football’, in reference to Vinícius’ statement against the racism to have been aimed in his direction in Spain during an emotional press conference on Monday.
