Axel Hefer is the new chairman of the supervisory board

The FC Schalke 04 supervisory board voted Axel Hefer as the new chairman on Saturday (17/07).

After being part of the board between 2014 and 2017, Hefer rejoined on 21st March 2021 after the resignation of Prof. Dr. Stefan Gesenhues, and was confirmed in his new position at the general meeting on Saturday (17th July). Moritz Dörnemann was appointed as the new vice-chair.

The appointment of the committees has been postponed, as the supervisory board is not yet complete. After the resignation of the previous chairman, Dr. Jens Buchta, the board will appoint a new representative. This decision is expected soon.
