According to a report from L’Équipe, as things currently stand Axel Disasi (26) is set to remain at Chelsea until the end of the season.
The club are pushing for the centre-back to join Tottenham and have agreed terms with their London rivals over a deadline-day loan. However, the France international is unconvinced after agreeing personal terms with Aston Villa.
Chelsea are unwilling to allow the defender to leave for an immediate Champions League rival which has created a stand-off between the former AS Monaco player and his current club.
Disasi had been hopeful of leaving Chelsea before the end of the transfer window. The centre-back has been a captain for the club during their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign but has struggled for minutes outside of this competition, and has made only six appearances in the Premier League.
The France international arrived in Chelsea from Monaco during the 2023 summer transfer window for a €45 million fee.
