First of two friendly matches on Saturday

This weekend is our last before we start the 2023/24 season – and we are to contest two friendly matches on Saturday to try to get into full form in time.

We are to start in the morning at 10:30 CET in Anif v Hamburg SV, before we face 1. FC Slovacko at 15:00 in Eugendorf (the preview to this match can be found HERE). The match against the side from North Germany will see our brand-new away kit used for the first time - it is available as of now in the Bullshop.

For Hamburg, the friendly match marks the end of a ten-day training camp in Kitzbühel. The 2 Bundesliga side are to travel to the airport straight after our clash. Next weekend they have one more friendly against Rangers, before they start their season on 28 July against Schalke 04.

  • HSV played in the top-flight from their foundation in 1919 to the 2017/18 season. They acquired the nickname of Bundesliga Dinosaur shortly after the start of the century but were eventually relegated - and just missed out on promotion back to the top-flight in a play-off last season.
