Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Aurélien Tchouaméni (24) will not be available for the Champions League final on the 1st of June.

The Real Madrid midfielder suffered a stress fracture to his metatarsal during the second-leg of the semi-final against Bayern Munich, which looked like it could rule him out of the upcoming final.

The worst was confirmed for Tchouaméni by his manager in a press conference today, with Ancelotti stating that “Tchouaméni continues to work individually but he will not be fit for the final. He is out because of his injury.”

However, his situation looks different for his national team, as France believe that the midfielder will be fit enough to be included in their squad for next month’s Euros.

Didier Deschamps and his medical staff will continue to monitor Tchouaméni but they are confident that he will be ready in time for their first fixture against Austria on the 17th of June. However, even if he is not, he will likely be selected within the squad that will travel to Germany.
