FC Augsburg have handed one of the “winners” from their summer training camp a professional deal. The young Luxembourg international signed a new long-term contract with his Bundesliga outfit on Wednesday. The 20-year-old’s new working papers in the German Fuggerstadt run until 2029.
Dardai joined Augsburg from Mainz in January 2025. The four-times-capped international – who has yet to make his Bundesliga debut – scored six goals for the Augsburg reserves last spring and impressed new FCA head coach Sandro Wagner with two goals in pre-season friendlies this summer.
Augsburg appear to have concrete plans for both Dardari and his fellow young prospect Oliver Sorg (18) (who also scored in the pre-season) this year. Sorg plies his trade as a left-back while Dardari can serve as an attacker on both flanks.
Central defender Noahkai Banks (18) and attacker Mert Kömür (20) also received new contracts this summer and are poised to garner minutes under Wagner during the 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign.
“Aiman has great potential,” FCA sporting director Benjamin Weber noted in a club statement. “With his attacking instinct and dribbling skills, he has every chance of making it in professional football. We will support him every step of the way.“
“I am very happy to be able to continue my development at FCA,” Dardari himself noted. “The first few months have been incredibly valuable for me and have shaped me both personally and athletically.“
