Barcelona extended their unbeaten run to seven matches when they beat Athletic Club at Camp Nou on Sunday night

Barça took the lead late in the first half, when Gerard Piqué’s header came back off the crossbar and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was in the right place to acrobatically finish the rebound.

The second goal came in the 73rd minute, when substitute Ousmane Dembélé fired into the roof of the net with an emphatic finish from a tight angle.

And in the dying minutes, Luuk De Jong headed home his fifth goal of the season to make it 3-0, before Memphis Depay put the icing on the cake when he finished from Dembélé’s cross to add a fourth in stoppage time.

That result lifts Barça back above Atlético Madrid into fourth place in LaLiga, while Athletic remain behind their Basque rivals Real Sociedad in eighth.
