On Tuesday afternoon, Atlético-PR finally presented the long-awaited changes to their visual identity.
The club presented their new logo, new colors, and their new kit, which will be worn for the Copa Sudamericana final second leg on Wednesday against Junior Barranquilla. The two sides drew the first leg 1-1 in Colombia.
The presentation, led by the president of the Club Council, Mário Celso Petraglia, highlighted the evolution of the club in recent years, modernisation, and their place in Brazilian football.
After a long explanation of the concept that led to the creation of the new visual identity for the Hurricane, the Atlético-PR shirt was presented with the new shield, in addition to new colors, and a switch from their traditional black vertical stripes.
We’re still on the fence on this one. It kind of looks like the Goodyear logo, but our feelings are somewhat similar to when Juventus rolled out their new badge… that it could be one of Brazil’s classiest logos after we get used to it for a while.
