Atletico Madrid are yet to agree personal terms with West Ham target Artem Dovbyk despite agreeing a fee with Girona, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Dovbyk scored 24 times in La Liga last season and is now expected to leave Girona in the ongoing transfer window.

West Ham have identified him as an alternative target to Jhon Duran and have already made initial moves to try and sign him.

However, Atletico Madrid have the edge in the race to sign the striker as they have already agreed a €40m fee with Girona.

But an agreement over personal terms is still not in place between the Spanish giants and the striker.

Atletico Madrid have work to do before they can have a deal in place over a contract with Dovbyk.

The delay in agreeing personal terms has allowed clubs such as West Ham an opportunity to try and hijack the deal.

Roma have also been in contact with Dovbyk’s agent as Daniele De Rossi is an admirer of the striker.
