ATL vs BAR Dream 11: Barcelona travel to Madrid and face Atletico in the clash of the La Liga round.
The Catalan giants are leading the standings but a loss to Atletico Madrid will see both teams level on points.
That would be great for second-placed Real Madrid, who are tied with Barcelona on 28 points at the top of the table.
Both teams were in action during the midweek Champions League fixtures with Atletico Madrid losing to Juventus.
Barcelona, on the other hand, defeated Borussia Dortmund at the Nou Camp, and it will be interesting to see how they do against Diego Simeone’s men.
This is has become one of the biggest shows in the La Liga season ever since Diego Simeone took charge.
The Argentine’s team don’t always play great attacking football, but they are effective and get results.
Barcelona haven’t looked all that great under Ernesto Valverde. However, they always have more than a chance of winning with Lionel Messi in the team.
There are some big names missing from the clash with Diego Costa ruled out. Sergio Busquests is suspended for the clash while Ousmane Dembele is also out with an injury (h/t ESPN).
There is no difference between the price of the Barcelona No.1 and the Atletico No.1 but going with the home side’s keeper is a better option for this game.
Atletico have only conceded nine goals from 13 games this season and Jan Oblak is possibly the best keeper in the league.
It is always preferable to pick full-backs as the defenders for this clash. They can get assists from crosses while also picking up points should the defence do well.
Kieran Trippier has done well since his move from Tottenham and has provided some important assists too.
Junior Firpo and Renan Lodi are the other defenders picked for this clash.
We have gone with some tough hitters in the midfield from both sides.
Arturo Vidal, Saul Niguez and Thomas Partey can all score a goal, but they are better known for this grit and determination in the midfield.
Sergi Roberto could get a start in the defence and the Barca star can be a difference-maker wherever he plays.
The bulk of the points will be coming from this third. It is difficult not to name Lionel Messi in any game that Barcelona plays in.
Antoine Griezmann might have something to saw to his former team while Joao Felix has done a decent job since joining Atletico Madrid in the summer.
Messi has to be the captain for this team while Felix can be the vice-captain.
It is always difficult to predict such big matches as one moment can change the game.
This should be a draw between the sides as both teams haven’t looked all that great this season.
Selections, fantasy tips and predictions are based on historical data related to the team. It is advisable to conduct additional research close to the game for more accurate team news and player availability.
Several factors were taken to build this team, however, individuals should have their own ideas for player selection as this piece only provides some guidelines.
