Atletico Madrid trigger new loan for Barcelona striker Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann is set to stay with Atletico Madrid.

The attacker will enter the second of a two season loan from Barcelona.

Sport says Atletico activated the second year of his loan on Tuesday, as stipulated in the deal signed last summer.

Once the second year of the loan is complete, it will be the moment for the Rojiblancos to make the deal permanent for €40m.

However, the buy clause is only automatic if he plays over 45 minutes or more in 50% of games he is available during his second spell with the club.

Griezmann himself confirmed he was staying on social media on Wednesday, although the tweet was not explicit, it did serve as confirmation.
