Atlético Madrid submit official €126m offer for João Félix | OneFootball

Atlético Madrid have officially submitted a €126m offer for Benfica wonderkid João Félix.

Félix enjoyed a breakthrough 2018/19 campaign, scoring 20 goals and assisting 11 in 37 appearances.

However, despite the substantial sum offered, Benfica insist that the offer is under consideration and NOT accepted due to:

The Liga NOS champions said in a statement: “Club Atlético de Madrid has presented a proposal for the definitive acquisition of the sports rights of the player João Félix Sequeira, for an amount of €126,000,000 (one hundred and twenty six million euros) which is being analyzed.”

Atlético have lost Lucas Hernández (€80m) already this summer, and are expected to sell Rodri (€70m) and Antoine Griezmann (€120m) before the start of next season.

The considerable offer for Félix makes sense as they look to rebuild their squad.
