Atletico Madrid will not sell Joao Felix to La Liga rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona under any circumstances, according to Marca.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta previously tried to sign Felix, but Atletico CEO Gil Marin was against the deal.
Marin took the big bet to spend €127 million to sign the Portuguese talent and has repeatedly backed him to come good.
This has not happened, but Marin will not allow Felix to join Barcelona.
Real Madrid also have no chance of signing the 23-year-old. Atletico don’t want to do business with their local rivals.
The attacker is currently on loan at Chelsea. They are interested in signing him permanently but have not made any concrete moves.
Atletico have set a €100 million price tag for the former Benfica striker.
Chelsea will find it difficult to spend such a sum without Champions League football and in light of their ridiculous outlay over the past year.
Felix’s performances have warranted such a sum. He has had some exciting moments in London, but questions remain about his production and defensive contribution.
In his 11 Premier League appearances, he has scored just two goals and missed three big chances. He has also not contributed to any goals in the Champions League.
The Blues are battling to find a permanent manager after a disastrous campaign.
Chelsea have too many players and trim their squad before making any more signings.
It is unclear where Felix will play next season, but it will not be Real Madrid or Barcelona.
