Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone is looking to complete putting together a talented frontline by selling Nikola Kalinić to make room for Rodrigo Moreno.

With much of the attention at Atlético Madrid on the ever-evolving situation involving Ángel Correa and Rodrigo Moreno, several news outlets including Sky Sports and La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Spanish club reached an initial agreement in negotiations with Roma for a loan deal for 31-year-old striker Nikola Kalinić.

The deal involving Kalinić leaving Atlético Madrid for Roma is reported to include a fee between €7m and €8m with the Croatian striker expected to arrive in Italy before the transfer window closes to undergo a medical.

Further details of the deal indicate that Roma has the priority option to buy the player when the loan arrangement expires next summer.
