According to Marc Bahrenbeck, as cited by Tojofichajes, Real Madrid face a huge blow in pursuit of Andre Silva. It appears their desire to use Luka Jovic as a bargaining chip in a deal to sign the Eintracht Frankfurt star has been ruled out. It has paved the way for their rivals Atletico Madrid to take the lead in the transfer pursuit, with the Rojiblancos even establishing contact with the footballer’s agents.

What Can Andre Silva Bring To The Table?

Andre Silva’s move to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019 has been a massive success, not just for the club, but for the player as well. After initially enduring a slow start to life under Adi Hutter, the striker has flourished in the Bundesliga, emerging as one of the best performers of the entire league in the ongoing campaign.

Indeed, the Portuguese international has netted a whopping 25 goals in just 29 matches this season, along with seven assists. He has thrived alongside the likes of Filip Kostic, Daichi Kamada and Amin Younes, with Eintracht’s excellent creative trifecta offering him the necessary support going forward.

As such, Silva has impressed the onlookers with his ability to sniff goalscoring opportunities. He often tends to find himself in scoring positions, but perhaps more importantly, the 25-year-old is an excellent target man – thanks to his heading prowess.

Moreover, the AC Milan star is capable of holding the ball up well, creating layovers for his teammates. It makes him an ideal target man, especially on the counter, as the forward also tends to link up well with his teammates in the final third.

Why Zinedine Zidane Should Go All Out For Silva

Real Madrid are in need of a massive squad overhaul in the upcoming summer transfer window. The record European champions are braced to lose a few players while a host of their key stars are slowly nearing the final phase of their respective careers, including Karim Benzema.

The Frenchman has done an incredible job under the leadership of Zinedine Zidane. However, at the age of 33, it is about time Real Madrid move on and that is where Andre Silva could be an ideal target.

The Eintracht Frankfurt attacker is a genuine target man, who is equipped with the perfect blend of aerial and technical prowess that should help him thrive at the Bernabeu. Silva has experience of playing in La Liga as well, having plied his trade with Sevilla during the 2018/19 campaign, scoring nine goals in the league.

Real Madrid, therefore, should definitely go all out for the services of Silva this summer if they are to fix their problems going forward and add more depth to their attacking unit.
