After weeks of reports, Atlético Madrid officially unveiled Rodrigo de Paul as their latest signing on Monday evening.
The former Udinese player has penned a five-year contract with the current LaLiga champions and is a massive midfield boost for manager Diego Simeone.
“I am very happy, I am going to the LaLiga champion and I know the responsibility that this entails,” said De Paul to club media.
“It is a great step in my football career.”
While with Udinese, De Paul scored 34 goals and recorded 36 assists in 184 appearances.
He most recently assisted the winning goal for Argentina in the Copa América final last Saturday.
