Atletico Madrid are planning something of a revolution this summer, with a significant squad overhaul expected to take place during the transfer window. Multiple new signings are being targeted, especially in defence, and the inverse of that is players being moved on.
Mario Hermoso will be departing at the end of his contract, while Caglar Soyuncu and Reinildo Mandava could also be moving on. Another that will be allowed to leave is Stefan Savic, who only recently triggered a one-year extension to his current deal. Relevo have confirmed that the Montenegrin international wants to leave, and Atleti will not stand in his way.
Savic wants to try a new experience, and he has been linked with clubs in Saudi Arabia and TĂĽrkiye over the last few months. Atleti will listen to any offers that come their way, although they will hope to get the best deal possible, as efforts are made to raise the transfer budget.
Savic has been with Atletico Madrid since 2015, and it looks almost certain that his nine-year stay will be coming to an end in the summer. It means that a replacement will be required, and whoever that is remains to be seen.
