Atletico Madrid ace names Barcelona superstar as one of his favourite strikers: “Love to see him play” | OneFootball

Speaking in an interview with ESPN, Atletico Madrid forward Alvaro Morata has named Barcelona superstar Robert Lewandowski as one of his three favourite strikers at the moment.

Lewandowski has easily been one of the best strikers in the game over the past decade and has been a key player for Barcelona since joining last year.

The 35-year-old’s form has been a bit hit-and-miss this season, but he continues to be regarded as one of the elite centre-forwards in football.

And now, Morata, who himself could have joined Barcelona in the past, has named Lewandowski as one of his favourite strikers, along with Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Real Madrid’s Joselu.

“I will say Joselu, Harry Kane, and Robert Lewandowski,” said Morata when asked to name the top three strikers he likes.

Elaborating on why he likes the veteran Barcelona striker, the Spanish international added: “I’m a big fan of Lewandowski. For me, with Luis Suarez and Benzema, they are the fantastic three in the last ten years. I always love to see Lewandowski play.”

As mentioned earlier, Lewandowski’s form has been a bit inconsistent this season. In fact, the veteran had one of his most forgettable outings this past weekend in the 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

But the 35-year-old is confident that things will take a turn for the better for him and Barcelona in the second half of the season.
