Spanish giants Atlético de Madrid have confirmed the arrival of Spanish centre-back and EURO 2024 winner Robin Le Normand from Real Sociedad.

The 27-year-old started all but one of La Roja's EURO 2024 success (and was suspended for the other), and saw his reputation outside Spain grow massively with as series of fine performances.

Now, he has joined Atlético after eight years with La Real, in a deal believed to be worth €30m (£25m), signing a five year deal at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Le Normand arrives as part of a defensive shakeup for Simeone, with four of his options from last season among the eight stars having departed already this summer.

It is expected that they will continue to recruit across the pitch, with Chelsea's Conor Gallagher a target in midfield.
