La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have on Saturday announced not one, but two injury setbacks in the club’s first-team squad.
This comes amid confirmation that both Rodrigo De Paul and Samuel Lino are set for incoming spells on the sidelines.
Atlético are primed to return to action on Sunday evening, when they make the trip to The Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán for a La Liga meeting with Sevilla.
The Rojiblancos head into the matchup desperate for a return to winning ways, fresh off seeing their hopes of silverware for the season brought to an end at the hands of Barcelona in midweek.
As alluded to above, though, in efforts towards as much, Diego Simeone and co. will be forced to make do without two important players.
This comes with both Rodrigo De Paul and Samuel Lino having both been ruled out through injury.
As per a statement across Atléti’s website and social media platforms:
‘De Paul and Lino are suffering from low-grade muscle injuries. Our players have undergone medical tests which have confirmed the extent of their injuries. Both players will undergo physiotherapy sessions and rehabilitation work in the gym and the evolution of their injuries will determine their return to competition.’
