A flying header from Sandie Toletti broke the deadlock in the first half for Los Blancos before Ivana Andrés dealt a second blow for 2-0.

The captain scored the second header of the night from a tight angle, and Real Madrid’s fans and bench erupted in cheers.

It was a dramatic end to the match, though, as Lucia Moral Ruiz pulled one back in the 88th minute and the match flipped on its head in the blink of an eye.

Then with the last opportunity of the game, Atlético de Madrid had a free-kick, and Estefania Banini blasted home past Misa for 2-2 for some incredible scenes!

The match then went to extra-time, and neither side could find a winner seeing the final decided on penalties where Alético de Madrid prevailed as Real Madrid missed three attempts.

The thrilling comeback means the club lifted their second-ever Copa de la Reina title (last in 2016) while Los Blancos missed out on a potential club double after the men’s team were crowned champions earlier this season.
