The summer transfer window is slowly creeping upon us once again, and although Chelsea are going well right now, we are still hearing report after report of how they are expected to be active again this market.

Roman Abramovich has got the funds to spend, and experts believe that he will certainly use them as he aims to win the Premier League with Chelsea next season, putting his trust and belief in Thomas Tuchel as the man to deliver it.

This is according to the latest report from The Athletic, who along with three of their top writers, have put together a summer transfer window piece with Chelsea featuring heavily.

They have spoken to senior figures across several Premier League and European clubs, as well as leading agents at home and overseas, and the sports business group at Deloitte.

And this is what one of them quoted…

“If you look at Chelsea, they have Thomas Tuchel, I think they will believe he is the man to win them the Premier League again. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they go and spend money — (Roman) Abramovich has got it.”

That certainly sounds very promising for Chelsea, because although they are playing very well right now, you do feel they still need 2 or 3 top class signings to really compete at the top again.
