Athletic Club provide Oihan Sancet injury update | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Athletic Club have on Wednesday provided an update on the wellbeing of midfield standout Oihan Sancet.

This comes after the in-form Spaniard was forced into a premature departure from the Basque outfit’s most recent outing.

En route to a 7-1 drubbing of Real Valladolid on Sunday, Sancet featured from the off, notching his side’s 4th goal of the clash on the stroke of half-time.

Midway through the 2nd-half, however, the 24-year-old was forced into a premature departure from proceedings, after pulling up with a sudden issue.

And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, Athletic have provided an update on the situation.

As per a statement across Los Leones’ website and social media platforms:

‘Oihan Sancet was substituted in the 68th minute of Athletic’s match against Real Valladolid on Sunday after suffering a moderate muscle injury in the rectus femoris of his right leg. The red-and-white player is still awaiting further development.’
