Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde was delighted after their 3-2 win against Rayo Vallecano.
Valverde was happy as brothers Nico and Inaki Williams were on the scoresheet.
"We're happy, obviously to win today and to go into the break in a good position," he said. "I think we've been on a good run in these games.
"We're going to enjoy a few days rest, but it doesn't stop."
For the coach, it was no surprise that the match was a thrilling one.
"It has been a great game to watch.
"We predicted it was going to be a high tempo game because they press high up the pitch with a very forward line and they are also intense, just like us. Both teams took risks.
"They have a spectacular start to the game and last year they also scored a goal here right at the start. Andoni Iraola's teams have enthusiasm, basically we are similar.
"After they scored we took advantage of the speed of our players, we played well on the inside and we were able to launch quick moves and we were able to come back.
"In the second half, when we saw that we were two goals up, we had situations that could have been resolved and we could have scored clearly.
"From then on, I think we took a step back, they scored a great goal and we were tight until the end."
