Premier League side Newcastle United recently scouted Atalanta midfielder Ederson.

TuttoAtalanta have reported that Magpies scout Steven Nickson watched Ederson during Atalanta’s dominant win over Frosinone, with the midfielder being one of the best players on the pitch during that game.

In recent days, Newcastle tried to understand about the terms of a move for the former Salernitana man, but Atalanta have made it clear that the Brazilian won’t be leaving this month. They could speak about a potential sale in the summer, but they will not be selling the 24-year-old in January. In fact, La Dea won’t even be sitting on the table for the player.

Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the midfielder and it isn’t a surprise, considering how important Ederson has been for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side. He has scored five times this season, picking up one assist. He also has one goal in the Europa League so far.
