Inter Milan are targeting Merih Demiral, Lazar Samardzic, and Emil Holm in their efforts to complete their squad for next season.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter have already done significant work in the transfer market this summer.
Davide Frattesi, Marcus Thuram, Yann Bisseck, and Raffaele Di Gennaro have all arrived.
However, the Nerazzurri are certainly not stopping there.
Inter want to sign Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin to replace Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri’s search for a striker goes on after the debacle that saw their pursuit of Romelu Lukaku come to an abrupt and screeching halt.
But that is not all Inter need to do. Quite the contrary, the Nerazzurri will have to make signings in a few different positions if they’re to go into next season with the squad depth necessary to fight on multiple fronts.
Replacing Milan Skriniar is still a vitally important task for Inter. The Nerazzurri have missed out on Cesar Azpilicueta but according to the Corriere they know who they’ll go after.
The newspaper name Atalanta defender Merih Demiral as Inter’s main target to take Skriniar’s place.
Then, in midfielder, Inter still have to replace Roberto Gagliardini.
Without another midfield signing, the Nerazzurri will head into the season with just five senior players in central areas. This is not sufficient for a season with upwards of fifty matches to be played.
According to the Corriere, Inter want to go after Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic to complete the midfield.
Meanwhile, the newspaper also confirm that the Nerazzurri have inquired about out-of-favour Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.
The Bavarians would listen to loan offers for the Dutchman. However, their priority would be for the ex-Ajax man to get playing time next season, something Inter wouldn’t necessarily give him.
Lastly, the Corriere report, Spezia’s Emil Holm is Inter’s top target at right-wingback, where they’ll want a backup to Denzel Dumfries.
