Atalanta are sending Josip Ilicic on-loan to AC Milan.

Ilicic has asked to leave Atalanta, as confirmed by coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

The problem so far has been agreeing a fee, as Milan are proposing half the €7m asking price.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports Atalanta are now ready to let Ilicic join Milan on loan with an option to buy.

It would be a paid loan, so bringing in some money straight away, but without the guarantee he will make the move permanent in 2022.
