Newcastle United are serious about signing Duvan Zapata in the summer.
The Atalanta forward was a Magpie target in the winter, but a bid was rejected.

FussballTransfers suggests that a loan deal with a €26 million option-to-buy clause was flat out refuted by Atalanta.
However, Zapata is someone that Newcastle and other Premier League clubs admire, and bids may come through in the summer.
Atalanta would be happy to sell Zapata for a fee of around €35 million, while Newcastle boss Eddie Howe does want to secure an attacker or two in the summer.
