Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi's confirmed that the club had agreement in place to allow star forward Ademola Lookman to leave this summer but only under specific conditions.

Tensions Rise After Inter Milan Offer Rejected

Lookman's reportedly at odds with Atalanta after the club turned down 45 million euro offer including bonuses .. from Inter Milan. In response the Nigerian international issued official statement formally requesting transfer.

"A Deal Was Made, But With Conditions": Percassi

Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb , Percassi clarified the situation:

"It’s good moment to clarify things. Last year, PSG offered 20 million euro and Lookman asked to be sold. As reliable club, Atalanta promised to let him go this summer but under 2 condition he himself asked for"

He explained those terms:

  1. Move to major European club.
  2. No transfer to another Italian club , out of respect for Atalanta and his journey there.

Final Say Remains with Atalanta

"Now as you can see, the situation has changed. The club always carefully evaluates player value & timing but the final decision lies with Atalanta" Percassi concluded.
