Serie A side Atalanta picked up a 4-0 win over Monza at the weekend but after the game, things didn’t go well for manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
The Italian saw Ademola Lookman and Marco Bresciannini grab a goal each, with Charles de Ketelaere picking up a first half brace as well.
Gasperini didn’t have a great time during the press conference and La Repubblica note how he was involved in a verbal scuffle with a journalist that he hasn’t had a good relationship with.
All this happened when Gasperini was leaving the press conference and came across the journalist on the way. They started bickering and also come face to face. The Atalanta boss pointed his index finger at the reporter as well, expressing his anger firmly and also called him a ‘donkey’.
The report called Gasperini an ‘idiot’ and at that point, the La Dea manager threw a notebook at the journalist and also threw a bottle towards the floor in anger.
The incident, which lasted 30 seconds, is linked to old grudes between the two and the exact reasons are not known.
