The season is over for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international, as this type of injury generally requires five to six months on the sidelines.

It is the third different ACL tear suffered by Atalanta players this season, after Gianluca Scamacca and Giorgio Scalvini.

Kolasinac joined Atalanta in the summer of 2023 and was instrumental in the side that won the Europa League.

His contract runs to June 2026, but the club has an option to extend for one more year.
