Pundit Tony Cascarino has tipped Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino to be the first to leave out of the front three.

The 29-year-old has been a key cog in Jurgen Klopp’s forward line for the past six years. Firmino has scored 88 goals and registered 69 assists in 295 appearances for the club.

Despite that being the case, the 59-year-old believes that the Brazilian will depart Anfield before Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

“All three of them, Firmino,  Salah and Mane have played a high level of football over a number of seasons,” Cascarino told talkSPORT, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“It was who was going to have the knock-on season.

“I would say Firmino didn’t have the season we know he is capable of – Salah was the best of the three last season.

“Maybe [Diogo] Jota coming into the club upset the dynamics of the three in some bizarre way because Jurgen played him, at times. He came in and hit the ground running.

“Certainly one will go, it will be who will be the first one to go? At this moment in time, it looks like Firmino.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

We believe that it is a bit difficult to predict which player will depart Anfield first. Player movement in football can be unpredictable, so we aren’t prepared to speculate on the futures of Firmino, Salah and Mane.

All we will say is that it will be a sad day when the famed front three are broken up.

Firmino, Salah and Mane have scored 250-plus goals between them for Liverpool.

Without the aforementioned players, the Reds would not have won the two biggest trophies in club football in the past two years – the UEFA Champions League and Premier League title.
