On August 10, 2025, Falaye Sacko signed a contract with Neftçi PFK in Baku, a club in the Azerbaijan Premier League. The former Malian international defender has agreed to a two-year deal with an option for a third, following an early termination of his contract with Montpellier this summer.

The 30-year-old brings his chapter with Montpellier, which began in 2022, to an end to join Neftçi PFK. The Baku-based club officially announced the arrival of the Malian right-back this Sunday. "The right-back of the Mali national team, Falaye Sacko, is now part of the Neftchi family. A contract for two seasons with an additional year as an option has been signed with the player," read the Azerbaijani club's official statement.

This signing comes after several months of consideration for the player, who was no longer in MHSC's plans.During the 2024-2025 season, Falaye Sacko saw his playing time decrease, relegated to a substitute role. Despite a contract running until 2026, he chose to leave early in order to regain rhythm and visibility. The sporting project put forward by Neftçi, combined with favorable contractual terms, convinced the player to make the move.
