Aston Villa want to offer Morgan Rogers a new contract to reflect his status as a key player at the Villa Park club, according to The Athletic.
Villa are in talks with the 23-year-old over a new deal, with discussions in preliminary stages as they look to keep suitors off the attacker.
Rogers has five years left on his current contract after signing a six-year extension in November 2024, five days after making his England debut.
He has established himself as a key player under manager Unai Emery after weighing in with 14 goals and 15 assists in 54 games across all competitions last season.
Arsenal were linked with the Villa star earlier this window, while Chelsea have recently expressed an interest in recruiting his services.
However, both clubs will need to look elsewhere as the Midlands club are not ready to lose Rogers anytime soon after his huge individual campaign in 2024-25.
The Villans narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification at the end of last season and will have to settle for a place in the league phase of the Europa League in 2025-26.
Leaving for where he can play in the elite European competition could be tempting to Rogers as he will be desperate to make the Three Lions squad for the 2026 World Cup, but Villa will hope to convince him to stay as they eye a top-four finish in the Premier League next term.
Emery has bolstered his squad with the additions of Yasin Ozcan, Zepiqueno Redmond and Marco Bizot so far this summer, with Modou Keba Cisse set to join them next summer, and more players are expected to be signed.
Holding on to Rogers and other top and key players will be a huge boost for Emery too, and Villa will fancy their chances of winning silverware and qualifying for the Champions League with him and others available beyond this summer.
