Manchester City are back in action against Aston Villa in the FA Cup, as they look to go one step further than last year when they finished as runner-ups.

Gareth Taylor's side come into the match as heavy favourites, last losing a match back in September. They've won 18 of their last 21 matches in all competitions.

Villa won't be an easy task though, with Carla Ward's team only losing once since the turn of the year.

Villa only named 16 players in their squad for Sunday's win over West Ham and Ruesha Littlejohn suffered a knee injury in that game and is set for a spell on the sidelines.

Remi Allen, Simone Magill, Tash Harding and Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah are long-term absentees.

Taylor revealed at his pre-match press conference that Hayley Raso and Alanna Kennedy could make their returns on Sunday, while England Esme Morgan will be part of the matchday squad.

Aston Villa vs Man City score prediction

It's hard to predict anything other than a Manchester City win. The team has a deep squad, competing on all fronts, and as last year's finalists, they have experience in the latter stages of the competition.

Aston Villa will have to hope that the home crowd can push them to a result and that City, who are also in contention for the WSL title, have an off day, because at their best, they can hurt this Man City side.
