Aston Villa will welcome Everton at Villa Park this Wednesday night as the two teams try to go all out in search of the win in the third round of the EFL Cup. The Villans earned a narrow 1-0 win away at Chelsea recently. Similarly, the Toffees secured a 3-1 victory away at Brentford last weekend. Hence, we can expect both sides to be full of confidence ahead of this game.
Unai Emery will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and could ask his men to move the ball well and engineer enough chances to win this contest.
Sean Dyche will set his team up in a 4-4-1-1 formation and could instruct his players to sit deep and soak in all the pressure before catching the opposition unaware on the counter.
Aston Villa
Emiliano Buendia, Tyrone Mings and Diego Carlos will definitely miss this cup clash because of injuries. However, Emery has no fresh injury concerns to cope with in midweek.
Aston Villa Predicted XI
Olsen; Chambers, Lenglet, Torres, Digne; Ramsey, Dendoncker, Tielemans; Diaby, Duran, Bailey

Everton
Dele Alli, Jack Harrison and Seamus Coleman will be sidelined for this contest due to injuries. Otherwise, Dyche should have a strong squad to choose from this week.
Everton Predicted XI
Virginia; Patterson, Godfrey, Keane, Mykolenko; Danjuma, Onana, Doucoure, Dobbin; Beto, Calvert-Lewin
Aston Villa
Leon Bailey and Moussa Diaby will both try to put their pace to good use in the opposition half. Youri Tielemans also needs to have a good game if the Villans are to come out on top in this EFL Cup clash at Villa Park.
Everton
Both Michael Keane and Ben Godfrey will have to give a good account of themselves on the defensive end of the pitch if they are to stand a chance of keeping a clean sheet in midweek.
Dyche will rely on Abdoulaye Doucoure’s work-rate both on and off the ball to inspire his side to a positive result in this cup game this Wednesday night.
