Lewis Brunt will now hope to play his part after signing a bumper deal to stay at Villa Park until 2021.
The midfielder has been a regular for the U-18s and broke into the Aston Villa U-23s earlier this year.

Brunt was with the Aston Villa first-team during pre-season and featured in Villa’s 1-1 draw with Kidderminster Harriers in July.
The Aston Villa U-23s will attempt to improve from last season and win promotion to Premier League 2 Division 1, and they believe Brunt will play a huge role.
Brunt is a central midfielder who can play in a deeper role as well.
Although the Aston Villa has produced some fine talent, Jack Grealish is the only current first-team regular that has progressed through the academy.
