Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis wanted by Stoke

Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis is attracting loan interest.

Sky Sports says a number of Championship clubs, including Stoke City, are interested in taking Davis on loan.

The 22-year-old hasn't started a Premier League game for Villa this season, and he's played less than 30 minutes in three substitute appearances in the league since September.

However, Dean Smith is currently not prepared to let Davis leave on loan because, even though Villa's boss is keen to develop his experience, he is now first choice back-up to Ollie Watkins.

Wesley, who Villa paid £22m for 18 months ago, is still recovering from the serious knee injury he suffered on New Year's Day 2020 - though Smith said just before Christmas that the Brazilian striker is now back training on his own.
