Aston Villa 'set to sign' Serbian starlet from Red Star Belgrade

Aston Villa are poised to sign Serbian right-back Kosta Nedeljković from Red Star Belgrade in a deal worth a reported £8m.

According to The Athletic, the 18-year-old will immediately return to Red Star on loan for the rest of the season.

Villa are understood to have been tracking Nedeljković – who can also play in central defence or defensive midfield – since he made his first-team debut at the start of last season.

He has made 26 senior appearances in all competitions this season, including four in the Champions League, and so far been capped for his country at U19 level.
