According to SPORT, Premier League side Aston Villa are preparing a move to sign Ferran Torres, with an offer potentially reaching €50 million.
However, despite Villa’s ambition and growing financial firepower, prising the forward away from Barcelona is shaping up to be an almost impossible task.
Monchi, Aston Villa’s sporting director, is aiming for a summer of high-impact signings, and Ferran has long been on his radar. But while the €50 million figure sounds tempting, the reality at Barcelona makes any deal extremely unlikely.
Meanwhile, it must be noted that Hansi Flick is delighted with Ferran’s progress this season.
Not only has the Spaniard earned a regular starting place, but he also played a vital role in Barça’s Copa del Rey triumph, even lifting the trophy as one of the key figures of Flick’s emerging project.
What is more, Ferran has successfully reinvented himself as a centre-forward, a position he openly admits he enjoys and feels comfortable in.

In fact, Flick is believed to be working on a plan to combine Lewandowski with Ferran in a more flexible and dynamic front line, a tactical tweak that has yielded strong results this season.
Ferran’s stats speak for themselves: 19 goals and 7 assists in 45 matches, all while battling back from setbacks.
His mental resilience and sharp eye for goal have turned him into an indispensable player, earning the trust of Flick and firmly embedding himself into the core of the team.
While Aston Villa are financially capable, especially if Emiliano Martínez’s proposed move to Saudi Arabia goes through, they are unlikely to get far with this pursuit.
Ferran has already experienced the Premier League during his time at Manchester City, and there is little indication he is eager to return. In fact, his commitment to Barcelona appears stronger than ever.
Unless there is a seismic shift, Ferran is going nowhere this summer. Flick sees him as part of the club’s present and future, and the player himself seems more motivated than ever to succeed in a Barcelona shirt.
