Aston Villa 'priced out' of move for Portugal midfielder

Aston Villa have been “priced out” of a move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Pedro Gonçalves.

Jornal de Notícias claim that the Lisbon club are only willing to entertain offers that match the player’s €80m release clause.

According to the report, Sporting’s hardline stance will automatically rule out Unai Emery’s side from the race to sign Gonçalves.

Champions League finalists Inter are also said to have been discounted from landing the 25-year-old alongside the Villains.
