The most significant change in the early phase would see a brand new North Stand which connects to the Trinity Stand, which would also receive a seating increase that would see the stadium’s overall capacity rise to over 50,000.

Plans are also in place for a project labelled Villa Live, a new community space at the ground which would act as the club’s new multi-purpose matchday hub, featuring the club shop, food and beverage outlets and areas dedicated to showcasing the club’s heritage and history.

There is also a project to create a dynamic public space around the planned new North Stand and along Witton Lane which include better connections to the stadium itself, enhanced street lighting and sign-posting and spaces for supporters to sit and socialise thanks to updated landscaping.

The first phase of improvements are estimated to take place between 2023 and 2025.
